Summer Camp


KYD’s Enrichment and Literacy for Children and Youth Camp:

This camp serves children and youth (ages 5 years old to 12 years old) for a duration of 6 to 8 weeks

beginning the first week in June and ending in August. The Enrichment and Literacy

Camp pre-tests these campers to identify what grade level of academic performance they

have achieved. The objective for each camper is to bring him/her closer to his/her next

or current academic grade level. We also incorporate enrichment activities such as

dance, art, etc.


KYD’s Teen Career Camp:


The purpose of this camp is to encourage forward thinking amongst teens about college and

about their early consideration of a career.The Teen Career Camp serves ages 13 years to 17 years. The duration of the Career Camp is 6 weeks. It begins the first week in June and ends the second week in July each

year. The KYD Teen Career Camp mimics traditional vocational training programs by

offering classroom training as well as hands-on training out in the field from qualified

career coaches. Teen Career Camp participants have the opportunity to select to learn

about careers in the fields of Nursing, Culinary Arts, Cosmetology, and Computer
