Knowing Your Destiny (KYD) is a community-based education non-profit dedicated to empowering young people within the Greater New Orleans area with the knowledge, resources, mindsets, and experiences necessary to overcome low socio-economic barriers and lead fulfilling lives. We accomplish this through a variety of community-based educational programming and experiential learning opportunities.

How we doin'
I started my KYD journey when I was 17yrs old after enrolling in the Geaux Ready Program in order to save money for college.I've experienced so many positive and new things since I have joined the KYD Team! I am confident in the job skills I've learned while volunteering and earned the money needed for college. I have grown during these two years and I know KYD is the reason why.

KYD is an excellent camp, they display awesome customer service skills, they
are very informative about everything and they work well with the kids with many different activities and in their curriculum according to age group. This is the first camp that my kids and I actually enjoys because it's not just about learning, it's about mentally growing too and coping with different challenges. I love KYD and
yes my kids will be returning next year.

We are one of eight entrepreneurs competing for $10,000 in funding. We will be pitching at the Education Challenge presented by Capital One, happening on Wednesday, April 17th, 6:30–8:30pm at the Propeller Incubator (4035 Washington Ave).
